Lafarge Plasterboard Limited was founded in 1987 and has its principal manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bristol. This plant is among the most technically advanced drywall production units in the world. It has the capacity to supply in excess of 50 million square metres of plasterboard a year.

Opened in December 2007, a £35 million plant at Ferrybridge is an important development for Lafarge Plasterboard as it marks a 50% increase in UK manufacturing capacity and will help Lafarge move towards improved sustainability. Lafarge will be using the by-product of their latest emissions reduction equipment as a main raw material. This plant will work alongside the existing Bristol plant to produce both standard and performance board.
Lafarge also offers its customers a complete range of support services including a dedicated Technical Enquiryline and a purpose-designed training centre.
The training centre is accredited by the CITB and provides instruction in drywall installation and management for contractors, merchants and housebuilders.
