Exciting innovations at Ecobuild 2012

World leader in building materials Lafarge is exhibiting at Ecobuild 2012 – the world’s biggest event dedicated to sustainable design, construction and the built environment.Lafarge UK are more than just a construction materials company, be it an enviable reputation in innovation, restoration or health and safety, there is far more to the company than just raw materials, which is why this year at Ecobuild we have taken on the challenge of portraying sustainable construction in a way only we know how – providing an innovative sustainable housing solution.
From a sustainable construction perspective, there is no "ideal" building. The characteristics of an energy-efficient home can vary according to the climate, the building's size, and its function or spatial organization for example, so we have developed 20 simple rules for sustainable construction, which will be put into practice at this years biggest and best Ecobuild.
As well as showcasing its pioneering sustainable bulk cement, Phoenix™, and how packed cements work, visitors to the stand will also be able to talk to Lafarge Cement’s experts about its latest product CEMIII/A.
Lafarge Aggregates and Concrete will exhibit its range of innovative concretes, including self-compacting Agilia™, low-shrink Extensia™, rapid-setting Chronolia™ and its sustainable Aggregate Capillia™ and Asphalt Envirophalt™, made using recycled asphalt.
Lafarge’s stand N1440 will incorporate Lafarge’s 20 rules of sustainable construction and have designed a building based on the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Lafarge’s presence at Ecobuild will be new, exciting and not only tell the story of sustainable construction but show visitors exactly what is possible.
